A Visit by Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) on 19 May 2022

The Researchers form FRIM has visited CEBAR Plant Biotech Facility (PBF) on 19th May 2022. The visit include briefing session, PBF SOP Training and PBF tour.


School Outreach Program with SMK Taman Tasik Ampang (5 March 2020)

The STEM Club of SMK Taman Tasik Ampang has visited CEBAR Plant Biotech Facility (PBF) on 5th March 2020. The event include briefing session, game session and PBF tour. 


Visit to the Centre of the Region Haná for Biotechnological and Agricultural Research
In Olomouc, Czech Republic (July 2019)

Prof Jennifer visited the Centre of the Region Haná for Biotechnological and Agricultural Research in Olomouc, Czech Republic during the Green for Good V, plant biotechnology conference. 


Participation in ISB Biosymposium 2019 (17 May 2018)

CEBAR undergraduate students presented their work in ISB Biosymposium 2019. Azlan's research project is Expression profiling of R2R3-MYB during flower development while Izzad's is Develop and evaluate a protocol for isolation of banana protoplasts. Well done!

Visit to flow cytometry facility at Kobe University, Japan (February 2019) 

Dr Teo Chee How visited Kobe University Japan. In the picture is his student, Miss Liaw (on the left), performing flow sorting of human-arabidopsis hybrid cell lines. Miss Liaw is a UM graduate and was recently awarded with the Japan JICA scholarship to further her Masters degree at Kobe University. 


II Plant Based Technology Trends Meeting (II EPTV) Brazil (2-4 December 2018)

Both Prof.  Jennifer Ann Harikrishna and Prof. Dr Rofina Yasmin Othman attended the II Plant Based Technology Trends Meeting (II ETPV), held in Brazil from 2-4 December 2018. They also presented plant made protein and plant viral vector research in CEBAR and University of Malaya
